Learning math facts to 20 is a vital skill that is important to Second Grade Students. Our math curriculum includes two and three step word problems and when students automatically know their math facts, it allows them to concentrate fully on the task.

There are many ways a student can practice math facts.

• Apps such as Rocket Math are available for purchase, while Freckle Math, on our Clever platform is free.
• Flash cards are also a helpful tool.  Your child needs to practice addition facts with sums to 20.  They also need to practice subtraction facts from 1-20. Both kinds of flashcards are readily available at "Dollar Stores."
