I have been married for over thirty years to my husband Rich, who is also a teacher. We have three grown children: Katie graduated from UCLA and is teaching social studies at Highland High School. She is married to Gavin March, who is an IT Systems Specialist for the Norris School District. Karlee graduated from Baylor University and is a speech pathologist at Bimat. We are so excited to work together at the same school. Her husband, Tim Kenney, is a teacher at Rosedale Middle School. Marcus is working at a local gym as a coach. I am also the owner of two amazing dogs. Magnolia (Mae Mae) is a golden retriever and my rescue Mario is mostly chihuahua.
My passion is helping children learn to read. It is my privilege to have the opportunity to teach your children. I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems. I completed my teacher credential program in 2003 from Point Loma Nazarene University. Then, in 2008 I completed my Master of Arts degree in teaching and learning. In 2016 I earned my certificate as a Reading Specialist from University of California Irvine.
